Cardo Education Partners: Every child deserves a school built around what drives them.

We design the curriculum behind every school day, built around the synergy between academics and physical development.

Our Mission

The reason Cardo exists

We started Cardo to redefine what youth development looks like, fusing interest-driven education with physical training built for every age. We want students who leave us curious and capable, ready for whatever comes next, understanding why what they're learning matters instead of just memorizing it for a test. Family matters just as much, which is why we build curriculum that handles academics and athletics together, giving parents back the time and simplicity every family deserves.

The Cardo Method

An approach built for how kids learn

Curiosity is what pulls a child in. Movement and direction are what make learning successful. We built the Cardo Method on that belief, and on the research showing that training the body sharpens the mind just as mastering a hard idea builds the discipline of a better athlete. That synergy sits at the center of everything here. Students progress at their own pace, with long, uninterrupted blocks of time to go deep, and movement running through the day rather than confined to a single period.

In the Discovery curriculum (PreK-5), young children explore through hands-on, movement-rich days. Teachers observe closely and guide each child through self-directed activities, and long work blocks give students room to reach real focus before moving on. In the Preparatory Academy curriculum (6-12), students work through extended academic blocks paired with elite athletic training, built into one daily schedule instead of two competing ones. Teachers, coaches, and advisors share a full picture of every student, so academic progress and athletic development move together, and evenings stay open for family.

Athletics

Training built by people who've lived it

In the Discovery curriculum, movement is woven into free play and games throughout the day, never drilled. Kids grow up comfortable in their bodies, building a genuine love of movement long before anyone asks them to specialize in anything. That's not an accident. Research is clear that early specialization is one of the biggest drivers of burnout, overuse injury, and dropout in youth sports, and kids who sample broadly and stay in love with movement longer arrive at competitive age with stronger bodies and more motivation than those pushed into formal training too soon. The world's top sports academies protect this window. We do too.

In middle school, students step into formal coaching for the first time. Students serious about competing at the highest level move into a Specialized Elite track with more focused, sport specific training sessions. By high school, Specialized Elite becomes a full sport-specific support system built around each player. Certified athletic trainers, sports psychology support, personalized nutrition plans, and direct guidance through recruiting and NCAA eligibility sit alongside the technical work, and technology like GPS tracking and recovery data give players real ownership of their own progress, integrating with school. Players train eight to ten times a week, the volume of top sport academies, all inside the school day, so evenings stay free.

Not every student wants to specialize, so starting in middle school, we offer a separate path that continues right through high school. Our All-Around Elite track runs on the same daily structure, led by dedicated coaches trained in athletic development, built around movement fundamentals, strength training, and having fun with other sports. Students here track their own athletic performance too, bringing that data into classroom projects right alongside their Specialized Elite classmates.

Soccer is where all of this lives today, and where the Cardo Method itself began. We chose it as our founding sport because more kids around the world play it than any other, and it takes almost nothing to start, just a ball and some open ground. That's why a ball is always within reach in the Discovery curriculum, it's woven into free play and games without ever looking like practice, a program any student can walk into regardless of what equipment their family can afford.

Our Curriculum

License the Cardo Method for your school

Available for Fall 2027

We're currently focused on Oregon schools, with curriculum ready to license for Fall 2027.

Cardo Discovery Academy — PreK through 5th Grade Curriculum

Built around multi-age cohorts that stay together for two years running, with a teacher who gets to know each child deeply. Older students routinely mentor younger ones as part of daily classroom life, leadership built into the structure from PreK on. By second grade, students are already working through interdisciplinary projects and pursuing lines of inquiry driven by their own interests, with technology introduced only as thoughtfully and gradually as everything else in the model. Every lesson draws on cultural and global perspective too, geography, history, and language woven together to build global citizenship. The curriculum is built around a core day that wraps up by mid-afternoon, with extended care built in for families who need it. Ready for Fall 2027.

Cardo Preparatory Academy — Grades 6 through 12

Classes run in three-hour blocks built for real mastery and deep learning, homework mostly disappearing. Each student carries an Individual Learning Plan, reviewed regularly with their advisor, keeping academic and athletic goals mapped against each other instead of tracked separately. Students choose our Specialized Elite track or our All-Around Elite track, a choice they can revisit and change each year rather than lock in for good. In high school, a sports physiologist joins that team too, meeting with each student regularly and coordinating with their academic advisor beforehand, so every conversation starts from the same full picture. College counseling here goes further as well, pairing standard academic guidance with direct support through recruiting and NCAA eligibility, the part most college counselors never touch.

For Schools

Bring Cardo to your school

Discovery curriculum is available to Oregon schools starting Fall 2027, the full PreK through 5th grade program. Preparatory Academy rolls out grade by grade, starting with 6th in Fall 2027 and adding a grade each year after. Students already in 7th or 8th finish out their existing curriculum in the meantime, so no one is caught mid-transition.

Licensing includes direct teacher training in the Method, ongoing coaching and regular check-ins as your first cohorts move through it, the technology platform that connects athletic programming and performance data into the classroom, and certification to carry the Cardo name once your school is running it.
